These are a gem of a discovery. Sometimes you need a little sweet snack that isn't fruit! These combine nuts (which are good), honey (which is good in moderation) and cocopowder (a little treat!)

These are totally lush. I love them. Because they don't need cooking you can get young children to help you make them too!

I went with the optional coconut, it makes them look posh and less like giant rabbit poos!

This little recipe sits at odds with me. It contains chorizo. Chorizo is sausage, sausage is processed, processed food is bad!? But a lot of paleo recipes seem to contain sausage or bacon. So I am going on the a little bit once or twice a week won't hurt right?

This recipe is delicious. The sweet potato, onions and coconut milk make it quite sweet then the mushrooms, egg and chorizo make it savoury. It would also work well as a lunch.

NB: The recipe says 1lb of chorizo, I use 1/2lb of chorizo and find that is more than enough.

Sometimes you need something quick in the morning (for those days when you're too busy updating your Facebook and are then running late for work). These paleo breakfast bars are yummy. They also double up as a little snack too. Full of seeds. You could probably experiment with different nuts and seeds in them.

Keep them in an airtight container and they last all week (if you husband and child don't snaffle them!)

This is one of those Paleo Recipes that you have to forget about what full sugar and fat chocolate cake tastes like. This will NEVER 100% substitute for that. But it is lovely as a cake in its own right. I'd said it probably tastes at its best 2 days after you have baked it.

Avocado frosting sounds like the grimmest thing ever but it really works! This cake is light and moist.

This pesto is delicious and not to far off the full fat variety!

We had it stirred through courgette spaghetti. I think it would be nice stuffed inside a chicken breast too.

I added toasted pine nuts. The website offers other additions you could make.

This is pretty much my most favourite paleo recipe EVER! I love it.

I am a big fan of pasta. Pasta isn't an option on eat clean or paleo. So you make the spaghetti from courgette. You just julienne it and sauté it. It is honestly delicious! Like all paleo "substitutes" I wouldn't try and compare it to pasta. It is never going to be 100% the same and you will end up being disappointed. (although it is pretty close!). Treat it as a delicious recipe in its own right and I reckon you will love it as much as I do!

It reheats really well, so I often have the leftovers for work too.

This is a gorgeous recipe. Be warned it is VERY spicy! I have frozen and reheated it and seems to get even spicier!

Lots of flavour and packs a punch.

We used a butternut squash. I have served this to a non-paleo eater and they loved it too.

Paleo Carrot Cake.

I absolutely adore this recipe. This makes a light, moist, carrot and orange cake. Perfect with a cup of green tea and you honestly don't feel short changed with it. Imogen and Christopher both love it too!

I have added cinnamon and vanilla extract too.

I believe you could freeze it in slices too.

Paleo Breakfast Casserole.

I found this out of sheer desperation for something that I could just heat up in the morning quickly, that would fill me up.

It is VERY easy and surprisingly delicious (although it does look like cat food!). I make it on a Sunday night and then portion it up and freeze on a Monday. 2- 3 mins in the microwave will reheat it from Frozen. I have tried it with chicken, beef cubes and beef mince. I wouldn't try the mince again, it's too dry. But the chicken and beef cubes are lovely.

You could add chillies to it to spice it up too.

Who'd have thought you could cook eggs in a slow cooker!
